Team Nightmare Creations, along with members from the Chaser community has joined forced and started working on a 'total conversion' of Chaser, in other words, use the CloakNT engine to create a 'new' game. It will be a modern realistic war game, in the style of Modern Warfare or Counter Strike. We are limited to the original Chaser models, which is not that big a deal, because the textures you can edit. At the moment I'm focusing on mapping and scripting game elements. I'm looking for people who can edit textures, edit menu layouts (scripting), and also more mappers. So basically anyone who thinks he can help out, please help out. After it's done, the game will be deployed as a relative small standalone game, that should not play like Chaser does now. It should stay in between Chaser players and friends, but hopefully will slowsly expans. Because releasing it would be illegal.

The Team:
Nemesis - Overal
MDK - Overal
Power - Mapper

We are looking for
- People with overal modding skills. We need people who can script new menu layouts (it sounds easier than it looks) or who have some experience editing in particular Chaser.
- Mappers. People who are able to create awesome maps in the theme of the game, using WorldStudio 2000.
- Texturers. 2D artist who can edit and understand textures, pimp up some weapons and edit game characters into Terrorists etc.

Update 31-07
Work done
- The main menu has some slight changes, especially the starting screen. The background image is a temporary stock image.


- HUD has had an upgrade. Font is partially updated, the rest (top of the image) has yet to come. The Colt has been transformed to a 'standard' M4 for the counter terrorist forces. The menus for Deathmatch also moved to more practical spots.


- The AK has been updated to a normal AK, that works the same as the M4 but is meant for Terrorists.


- The weapons for each side have been created (minus the icons) More weapons and a menu upgrade will be added later. Each side has a different set.


- The 'golden deagle' (terrorist handgun) in action

I suppose the map I'm creating for Chaser at the moment (Counter Strike's de_dust2) can be used for this mod as well, I remember you talking to me about this idea a long time ago, I'm glad to see this project taking on ! For maps, scripts and patches, if you need my help, don't hesitate, but for the time being I'll focus on finishing that map so it can be played for chaser and this mod! Everything I work on after the release of that map will be for this mod (will create more modern warfare style terrains)!

P.S. I love what you did with the new perspective on the weapon models.
